Avocado Salsa Burgers (Medium-Hot)
We all love a traditional burger, I know we do but I wanted to have some fun and add a little twist to our burgers. Instead of our regular cheese and lettuce toppings. Avocado Salsa! I mean, why not? I love avocados, I can eat them with just about anything so I decided to take my love for them to another level. I know these seem a bit out of the ordinary but my honey approves, and if he approves then I think its worthy of a recipe post. Let us know what you think!

Servings: 3-4
Prep Time: 10 mins
Total Time: 20 mins.
Ingredients
1 lb, ground beef
1/2 a red onion, finely chopped
2 tsp. Chili Powder
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 tbsp. tomato puree
1/2 tbsp. finely chopped cilantro
1 tbsp. sazon ranchero
2 tsp. Adobo
4 Leafs of lettuce
For the salsa:
1 Avocado, diced
1 tbsp. lime juice
1 small tomato, chopped
4 oz kernel corn
Instructions
Step 1:
Rinse and pat dry ground beef
Step 2:
With your hands mix together the ground beef, onion, chili powder, cumin, adobo, sofrito, tomato puree and cilantro. Divide into 3-4 portions and shape into burgers.
Step 3:
Cook on a lightly oiled grill or non stick pan for about 5 minutes on each side or until desired temperature.
For the salsa:
Toss the avocado with lime juice, add the tomato and corn and toss lightly. Add the burgers and lettuce to your bun and serve with the salsa. Enjoy!
Tips
-For a spicier burger add more chili powder
-For a milder burger add less chili powder
